gingerbreadWe were thankful to spend the Thanksgiving holiday visiting my sister and nieces in North Carolina.  We enjoyed mild weather and the peaceful surroundings of the blue ridge mountains.  We also went to the beautiful Grove Park Inn, which really deserves a visit if you ever have the opportunity.  We took in their annual gingerbread competition and were blown away at the creativity…I had no idea the possibilities with gingerbread and other edible goodness…though you would never want to eat these after all of the hard work!  I hope all of you were able to have some special time with those whom you are thankful.  Onto December!

These are amazing! They're almost too pretty to eat (almost).
